Eating Like This Could Give You The Best Skin Of Your Life

by Andrea Marie

We’ve heard millions of times that what we eat affects the condition of our skin. While giving up our beloved pizza and wine definitely helps clear things up, we’ve always been curious to learn if there’s a specific diet that could actually improve our skin longterm.

Actress Kate Hudson is no stranger to all things healthy, and she recently revealed to People that the decision to go vegan gave her the best skin of her life. “When I went vegan last summer, my skin was the best it’s ever been—skin tone, pores, everything. Then I did Paleo, and what was interesting about Paleo was my skin wasn’t as good, but your weight drops,” she says in the interview.

Vegan meals are rich in nutrients and antioxidants that are often missing from our normal day-to-day intake; however, the vegan lifestyle may not be ideal for everyone’s nutritional needs. It’s important to note what you’ve eaten before experiencing sudden breakouts or changes in skin texture, so if a flareup ever occurs, you know what to stay away from.
